In today’s wave of digitalization, we should focus on cultivating creativity and artistic appreciation in children and teenagers. To this end, we are organizing an online coloring and drawing competition named “Children’s Dream Drawing,” aiming to provide a platform for children and teenagers to showcase themselves and unleash their creativity, while also promoting parent-child interaction and strengthening family bonds.

🎨 Purpose of the Event
🌟 Cultivate Creativity and Imagination The primary goal of this competition is to inspire creativity and imagination in children and teenagers. Through the process of coloring and drawing, children are free to explore a vibrant world and express their inner thoughts and feelings, nurturing creative thinking and artistic perception.
🌈 Enhance Artistic Appreciation and Aesthetic Ability The competition focuses on improving children’s artistic appreciation and aesthetic sense. By appreciating and creating artworks, children are exposed to various art forms and styles, cultivating their sensitivity to beauty and their pursuit of it, laying a solid foundation for future artistic development.
👪 Promote Parent-Child Interaction and Family Harmony The competition encourages parent-child participation, fostering greater interaction and communication through collaborative artwork. This deepens mutual understanding and trust, and provides an excellent opportunity for families to enjoy the fun of art creation together, helping to create a harmonious family atmosphere.
🌍 Build a Platform for Exchange and Display The competition provides children with a platform to showcase their talents and works, enabling them to connect and interact with peers nationwide, sharing creative experiences and joy. This helps broaden their horizons and enhance social skills and self-confidence.
💻 Promote Healthy Online Culture By hosting this online competition, we aim to promote a healthy online culture, offering netizens a positive and creative online space. We will strictly monitor the content and format of the competition to ensure alignment with core social values and the developmental needs of children and teenagers, creating a sound online environment for growth.
Competition Format
This competition will be conducted online in the form of coloring and drawing. Participants must upload their artwork to the designated platform within the specified timeframe. To ensure fairness and impartiality, all entries will be judged anonymously.

- Creation Format: Participants may choose to create either a coloring piece or an original drawing. For coloring entries, both the original image and the completed artwork comparison photo must be submitted.
- Artwork Specifications: Details regarding artwork size, resolution, and other specific requirements will be outlined in the competition announcement to ensure optimal presentation.

Artwork Requirements:
- Entries must be created around the theme “Children’s Dream Drawing,” encouraging imagination and expressions of childlike fun.
- Any drawing tools and materials may be used, but works must be created in a two-dimensional format (portrait or landscape). Computer-generated artwork is not accepted.
- Three-dimensional materials, glitter, collage, or other handicraft techniques are not accepted.
- Paper: Ordinary drawing paper is accepted. For Xuan paper works, they must be mounted on cardboard for submission. Oil paintings must be on canvas, and framed artworks are not accepted.
- Size: Not smaller than A4 (297 x 210mm) and not larger than A3 (420 x 297mm). Entries not conforming to these dimensions will be disqualified.
- Each artwork must clearly display the participant’s name and group on the front side.
Judging Criteria
The judging panel will evaluate entries based on creativity, technique, theme relevance, and more to ensure truly outstanding works are selected. Professional artists, educational experts, and online representatives will form the jury, ensuring fairness and authority.
Online judging for the coloring and drawing competition will use the following percentage breakdown:
- Creativity (30%): Assesses uniqueness and innovative thinking in presenting the theme. Judges will especially note whether participants interpret the theme from different perspectives and present distinctive ideas.
- Technique (30%): Evaluates technical skill in coloring and drawing, including suitable color combinations, smooth use of lines, and overall layout coordination. Higher skill will directly improve the overall presentation.
- Completeness (15%): Whether the work fully presents the theme, with no obvious unfinished parts or defects. Participants should ensure timely completion and meet quality standards.
- Theme Relevance (15%): Whether the work aligns with the competition theme and communicates the intended spirit and meaning. How participants interpret and present the theme is a crucial scoring element.
- Overall Aesthetic (10%): Visual appeal, harmonious color use, smooth lines, and clean layout all contribute to a strong first impression.
During the judging process, judges will score entries according to these criteria and respective percentages. The final score is the sum of all criteria scores and determines the ranking and prize results. Participants are encouraged to seriously consider each criterion and aim for high standards in all aspects to achieve the best results. We look forward to your outstanding creations!
Event Procedure
- Registration Stage: Participants register via the designated website, submitting personal information and a brief introduction of their artwork.
- Artwork Submission: Participants upload their coloring or drawing entry to the designated platform within the specified timeframe.
- Judging Panel Evaluation: A judging panel comprised of professional artists, educational experts, and community representatives will evaluate all entries and select winners in each group.
- Results Announcement: Competition results will be announced at the scheduled time.
Award Categories:
Each competition group will have the following awards:

- Champion, First Runner-up, and Second Runner-up: Awarded to the three highest-scoring participants in each group (identical scores receive the same prize).
- Gold Award (Above 90 points)
- Silver Award (80–89 points)
- Bronze Award (70–79 points)
- Merit Award (60–69 points)
- Participation Award (Below 59 points)
Teacher Awards:
- Hong Kong Painting Competition Active Participation Guidance Award (Silver): Teachers who invite five or more students to join any group can apply for a certificate.
- Hong Kong Painting Competition Active Participation Guidance Award (Gold): Teachers inviting ten or more students can apply for a certificate and one trophy.
- Hong Kong Outstanding Art Education Award: Schools/educational centers inviting ten or more students to join any group can apply for a certificate and one trophy.
Other Terms and Conditions:
- The content of the entries must be healthy and positive. All artwork must not contain obscene, violent, pornographic, defamatory, or other inappropriate elements.
- The organizer reserves the right to reject entries that do not meet competition requirements or do not follow proper formatting.
- Entries must not contain any commercial or political promotional elements.
- If a participant is disqualified, the registration fee will not be refunded.
- Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Minors must have the consent of a parent or guardian, and their works must be submitted by the parent or guardian.
- Participants and their parents/guardians must acknowledge and agree to all competition rules and regulations. Violations may result in disqualification.
- Participants agree that the organizer may retain and use photos and videos of the entries for educational or promotional purposes.
- The organizer reserves the right to interpret and revise the competition rules without prior notice.

School or Group Registration:
- Schools should complete the electronic version of the registration form and the Excel application form with participant details, then email them to info@asia-ace.org.
- Once participants have been entered, changes are not allowed. Please ensure all registration information is filled out accurately and verified. Any discovered false information will result in disqualification.
- Any participant information changes after the deadline will be subject to an administrative fee of HKD $100 per change.
- Each school may send any number of participants, with no limit on team size.
